Get to Know Dr. Morris and Our Orthopedic Team

D. Clint Morris, JR., M.D.

My wife, Hunter, and I have lived in Kerrville since 2001. We have three daughters: Maddie, Gracie, and Avery. Hunter and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 30 years. Hunter is a full-time mom, but she also serves as my office and building manager, somehow finds time to talk with each of our girls daily, and still manages to keep an eye on our six dogs.

We are both originally from Dallas. Hunter graduated from Florida State University, where she played college softball. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania after playing college football. I continued my education at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, now McGovern Medical School, graduating in 1996. I completed my orthopedic residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis in 2001.

Hunter and I have truly enjoyed raising our three daughters in Kerrville. Maddie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently attending PA school. Gracie graduated from Texas A&M University and is currently attending nursing school. Avery is a senior at Texas A&M and is planning to attend PA school after graduation.

My orthopedic practice focuses primarily on hips, knees, and shoulders. I am board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Total joint arthroplasty, including direct anterior hip replacement, total knee replacement, and both anatomic and reverse shoulder replacement, makes up a significant portion of my practice. I also perform arthroscopic shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair and augmentation, shoulder instability surgery, knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, fracture fixation, and hand surgery, including endoscopic carpal tunnel release.

Since 2001, my practice has offered a free sports clinic for area athletes in our community. I feel blessed to make a living in such a beautiful place and am honored to have cared for patients in Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country for more than two decades.

Nicole Fierst, FNP-BC

Nicole grew up in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Kerrville in 2020 with her husband and their three dogs. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, fishing, and interior design. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends and being part of the Kerrville community.

Nicole joined our team in 2021, where she helps manage a wide range of nonoperative orthopedic conditions. She works closely with patients to evaluate injuries, develop treatment plans, and help relieve pain while improving mobility and function.

Her clinical focus includes treating a variety of orthopedic conditions such as fractures, osteoarthritis, sports injuries, and other common causes of joint and soft tissue pain. Nicole frequently helps patients manage conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, hand, and hip, including rotator cuff injuries, bursitis, tennis elbow, trigger finger, and nerve-related conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome.

Nicole also performs joint injections and provides Iovera® therapy to help relieve pain and improve mobility. She enjoys working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and helping them find effective non-surgical solutions. Nicole takes pride in seeing patients recover, regain their mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy. She looks forward to caring for patients and helping them take the next step toward feeling better.
